Supply Chain · Approvals
Set tiers by value, document type and role once. From then on a requisition routes the moment it is created, a purchase order is sent the moment it is approved, and nobody approves their own work. Every decision is one e-mail with a reason and a link, and every change sits in an append-only audit trail.
Five steps. The person raising the document never has to chase it.
Set the tiers
Under Settings, Approval Settings: tiers by value band, document type and role set. One rule set per document type.
Create the document
The form previews the chain. Saving routes the document to its first tier. No submit button. No tier, no wait.
Decide
The approver sees it on the Approvals page and in one e-mail that deep-links to the document. Approve or reject with a reason.
Act
On the last approval the document proceeds. A purchase order is e-mailed to the vendor automatically.
Look back
History on the Approvals page, the reason on the document, and field-level diffs of every mutation in the audit trail.
The same path for a requisition, a PO, an invoice, an award or a vendor change.
Approval Settings holds the tiers: by value, by document type, by role set. Requisitions, purchase orders, purchase invoices, quotation awards and supplier or AVL changes are each routed by their own rules. A document that matches no tier proceeds without waiting.
A requisition has no submit step. The form shows the approval chain it will follow, the save button reads Create draft (needs approval), and the document is in the first approver's queue as soon as it exists. On the last approval a PO is sent to the vendor without a second click.
Self-approval is blocked by default. A person with several roles works as one role at a time, chosen from the sidebar, and the approval queue follows that role. An owner working as a role loses the owner bypass for that time.
Each decision produces exactly one e-mail with the reason. The notice deep-links to the document, not to a dashboard. The Approvals page shows Pending and History; owners can switch between Mine and All. A rejected or superseded quote withdraws its pending award so the queue never holds a stale item.
Every mutation writes an audit event with the actor, the entity and field-level diffs. The trail is append-only: nothing in it can be edited or deleted. Org owners read it from one viewer.
The workflow keeps its meaning across companies; the labels follow yours.
